Description and Message
Hi I am new here. I am sorry I don't understand the language of this board. I would like very much to get help with the Confirmation Topic Mod. I have it installed. It is good. But how do I setup for new registered user to "as soon as they register" they are directed to a forum where they MUST have to read and agree to our rules & regulations before they can go anywhere else on the forum?
I hope someone understands me and what I trying to do. But most important I hope this is the right Mod :o
Thank you
Confirmation Topic

Welcome, cananball!
Thanks for using this MOD.
And for your request:
Redirect a user to the Confirmation Topic isn't easy after registration. Here are two possible ways to do this:
- Display a rules page (may be the Confirmation Topic) after registration, but BEFORE activation
- Once redirection after activation to the Confirmation Topic
BUT: The Confirmation Topic will normally block only ONE forum, not the hole board!
If you will inform a user about the forum rules, you better use the agreement the user gets before register on your forum. I think the better way.
The Confirmation Topic will only block the access to several forums to notify the user about rules...

Thank you for the reply oxpus. Now if I understand correctly this can be done with hiding forums. But I thought that might not be a good idea, begin that guests come and see froum activity, if they can't see an active forum they are not going to register. So can I ask you please, can I input my rules and regulations in my language_main.php file to replace what is there now?
Also as I see you are a good programmer ever thought of doing something like this? Code something to allow us to use. Would love to see or have something like this. Where once your members register they have to read a certain post (rules/TOU) before being able to access any other part of the forum
Thank you for your time.

Guests can see the topics on a forum, but they can't post or reply there.
This is settable via ACP.
But for simplier rules, try one of this MODs:
http://www.phpbbhacks.com/searchresults ... &Submit=Go
If there's no one you can integrate as a link in the agreement, there's a way to add this for the MOD you will install...

Thank you oxpus your support has been very much appreciated. I installed Confirmation Topic Mod, although I haven't figured it out yet I am wanting to keep it. Yes I have no guest checked in ACP
What I already have done is placed Our Rules & Regulations in my language/lang_main.php or was it lang_admin.php? (not sure) file. Works great.(but not a link like u mentioned above) I would still love to have a single Forum with this Confiramtion Topic cuz what I like about it is that we get notified of who has actually clicked on the topic. Cuz really if you think about it, how many members really take the time to read a site Terms?
thank you for the link, I am going to go take a look and hope to find something I can use.
